Research

I am interested in neuroimaging markers of cognitive decline in aging and Alzheimer's disease. My main interest is looking at white matter changes using an MRI technique called DTI. White matter is responsible for electrochemical signaling between brain regions, and breakdown occurs both in aging and disease. I am particularly interested in exploring how this decline in white matter interacts with Alzheimer's disease pathology to alter brain function leading to cognitive decline.
